The Senior Special Adviser to the Executive Governor of Plateau State on Middle-Belt Affairs, Hon. Dan Kwada, has described the death of Ezekiel Dontinna, Chairman of the Middle-Belt Journalists Forum (MBJF) in Plateau State, as a painful and colossal loss.
In a statement signed late on Friday and made available to newsmen in Jos, Hon. Kwada expressed shock and sadness over the development, saying the pen profession family has lost a humble and experienced gentleman.
He praised Dontinna’s contributions to the MBJF and the Middle Belt region, highlighting his dedication to promoting the interests of journalists and fostering unity among Middle-Belt communities.
“The loss of Ezekiel Dontinna is not only a personal loss to me but also a significant blow to our community,” Kwada said. “His passion for journalism and commitment to the Middle Belt cause will be deeply missed.”
According to Hon. Kwada, Dontinna was known for his contributions and dedication to the development of the Middle-Belt through his profession and commitment to duty as a senior correspondent of The Standard Newspaper. His contributions to the MBJF and the community at large have left a lasting impact.
While praying for his family and the Plateau State Union of Journalists to find solace in the memories of his life and contributions, Hon. Kwada further stated that Dontinna’s legacy will continue to inspire journalists and community leaders in the region.
Until his demise, Ezekiel Dontinna was a senior correspondent with The Standard Newspaper and Chairman of the Middle-Belt Journalists Forum.
