It is an invitation to join the discussion, the conversation about our dear country Nigeria – the people, culture, government, economy, environment, whatever.

That is what Daily Topic offers everyone: Nigerians and non-Nigerians, educated and not very educated, young and old. Just anybody, everybody.

This is the platform to air your views, query existing order, and proffer solutions. Daily Topic will also engage the citizenry across political, socio-economic, cultural strata. The voice of those in the valley will resonate as much as those on the mountain. Daily Topic will be the amplifier.

As an online medium, it will interrogate government and governance, question authorities and make them accountable.

Daily Topic will set an agenda and chart the path for national rebirth. In Doing this we are under no illusion that it will be an easy assignment, a walk in the park Rather we are prepared to take the flakes in the overall interest of Nigeria. We will resist those who have vowed to keep Nigeria in perpetual darkness through various forms of manipulation.

For how long can we continue on this inglorious path? As a nation we have been too afraid to speak to our jagged seam lines preferring to adorn the attire in that state instead of losing the seams and have a perfect stitch, lest we break up.

We cherished our unity quite right but we must do more to preserve it in a perfect condition than to fumble and wobble along. Our union as a nation must be a perfect one; a union of equal partners and until we tell ourselves the home truth that the foundation of the Boko Haram insurgency in the North East, the militancy in the South East and Niger Delta, spate of kidnapping and armed robbery were laid by the hypocritical leadership at all levels, self serving irredentism by the elites manipulating the vulnerable majority, the flotsams and jetsams for selfish reasons, there cannot be a true nation called Nigeria.

Daily Topic will be the vanguard for the campaign for a better society; better still to align with current political lingo, we will be instruments of CHANGE beyond sloganeering. We invite you to get on board. Choose your Daily Topic and let the conversation begin.
