The Nigerian Army has taken delivery of a new batch of locally manufactured All-Terrain Combat Vehicles, codenamed Vanquisher, produced by Vanquish Industries, a defense tech firm based in Kaduna State.
Designed for tough missions and harsh terrains, the Vanquisher is built with military-grade armor and equipped with night vision capability, allowing troops to operate effectively under low visibility.
According to Ishaku Duwa, a representative of Vanquish Industries, each vehicle features:
Night Goggle Vision
Run-flat capability up to 80km
Advanced suspension systems
360-degree protective armor
> “These are not just vehicles; they are battlefield assets tailored for Nigerian conditions,” Duwa said.
The Vanquisher is intended to boost infantry mobility, especially in rugged terrain where conventional vehicles struggle. It offers improved speed, safety, and agility for frontline troops during counter-insurgency and anti-banditry operations.
This development underscores Nigeria’s growing capacity for indigenous military production, aligning with ongoing efforts to reduce reliance on foreign defense suppliers and promote local innovation.
