The North Central Development Commission (NCDC) and College of Agricultural Technology, Opialu-Ojapo, establishment Bills sponsored by the senator representing Benue South Senatorial District and Senate Minority Leader, Comrade Abba Patrick Moro PhD, have been assented to by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR.
The President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio announced it on Tuesday during plenary.
While the North Central Development Commission Bill was passed into law by the senate on the 4th of July, 2024, the bill seeking the establishment of Federal College of Agricultural Technology, Opialu-Ojapo, was passed into law on the 23rd of July, 2024.
With the presidential assent, the processes for the establishment of the commission and the institution have been concluded and ready for take off.
