The Nasarawa state chapter of the People Democratic Party (PDP), has pledged better welfare regime. The party also felicitates with workers on the 2025 Workers Day.

In a statement by Jonathan Ipaa,
Press secretary to the state PDP Chairman, on Wednesday in Lafia and made available to Journalists, stated that the state chairman of the PDP, Alhaji Adamu Bako Ninga [Talban Mada] gave the assurance in Lafia while urging the workers not to relent in their unwavering push for positive development.

Speaking on behalf of the State Working Committee, SWC and her teaming supporters, Alhaji Adamu Ninga who doubles as the new Secretary, North Central PDP Chairmen’s Forum, charged the organized labour union on the provisions of essential services for the growth of Nasarawa State.

The PDP therefore urged workers to step further efforts in supporting good governance especially as being promoted by the PDP in the state in particular and Nigeria in general.

“We sympathize with the workers’ current poor welfare packages which are not at par with their working conditions.
The minimum wage of N77,500 to a Nigerian worker can not fetch a family a bag of rice which sells at above N80,000”.

“The high cost of transportation and other essential services as they affect the workers are regrettable”.

Alhaji Adamu Ninga pledged enhanced welfare package, a sustainable working relationship between the Nigeria Labour Congress in the state and the PDP.
