During a high-profile meeting in Abuja, Russian envoy Lt.-Gen. Andrei Averianov assured Nigeria’s Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Christopher Musa, of Moscow’s readiness to share combat-tested expertise from operations in 39 countries.
With Nigeria’s military struggling to maintain Russian-made platforms, the Kremlin has promised spare parts, technical teams, and intelligence collaboration to restore Nigeria’s fighting edge.
