With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Distinguished Senator Solomon Aku Ewuga, a respected elder statesman and titleholder of Iyan Eggon.
He died on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, in Cairo, Egypt, at the age of 70, after a prolonged illness.
Senator Ewuga was more than a politician—he was a lawyer, media figure, mentor, and a voice for the people. Over the years, he served as:
Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State
Minister of State for FCT
Senator for Nasarawa North in the 7th National Assembly
His passion for education, youth empowerment, and development shaped lives and inspired generations. He leaves behind a legacy of service, courage, and leadership that will never fade.
The family will release burial arrangements soon, as his remains are being prepared for repatriation to Nigeria.
Today, Nasarawa State and Nigeria bid farewell to a true son of the land.
