The family of the deceased Board of Trustees (BOT) Chairman, Middle Belt Journalists Forum (MBJF) , a former Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State and Minister of State for Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, Sen Solomon Aku Ewuga has announced his funeral arrangements.
A burial Programme released by the family in Abuja indicates that funeral rites will commence with a service of songs and tributes at De Rainbow Marque Events Centre, Area 8, Garki, Abuja on Thursday, 30th October, 2025, by 4.00 pm.
A Christian wake will be held at his country home in Alushi, Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area, Nasarawa State on Friday, 31st October, by 4.00 pm.
The late elder statesman will be laid to rest on November 1, 2025 after a church service at the Evangelical Reformed Church of Christ (ERCC), Alushi, near Akwanga, by 10.00 am.
Senator Ewuga was hailed as a towering figure in Nigerian politics, remembered for his courage, intellect, and devotion to public service. As one of the founding fathers of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and a key player in the formation of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), he played a strategic role in shaping Nigeria’s democratic experience in the Fourth Republic.
He also served the nation with distinction as Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and as Senator representing Nasarawa North, where his leadership was marked by community-driven initiatives and a focus on national unity.
Outside politics, Senator Ewuga was equally accomplished. A lawyer and journalist, he earned recognition in professional circles, becoming a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), and the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON). His company, ADPURE Nigeria Limited, was a trailblazer in advertising in Northern Nigeria.
He went to be with his creator on September 23, 2025 in Cairo, Egypt where he had been receiving medical attention. He was aged 70.
