Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang attended the burial ceremony of late Sen. Solomon Ewuga, former Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State who passed away on September 23.
Represented by his deputy, Hon. Mrs. Josephine Piyo, Governor Mutfwang described his death as a monumental loss to the entire nation.
Governor Mutfwang described Sen. Ewuga as a distinguished statesman who lived a life of selflessness and dedication, leaving an indelible mark on those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Reflecting on his illustrious career as a politician and a public servant, the Governor acknowledged his stewardship, inspiring leadership, shaping conversations, and guiding generations with uncommon integrity and depth.
He added that his tenure as Deputy Governor, Senator, and Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, was defined by integrity, wisdom, and an unwavering commitment to the well-being of his people.
He added that he will be fondly remembered for his legacy of compassion, kindness, and generosity, which touched numerous lives, and the empathy and unwavering dedication to peace and development will forever be cherished.
He prayed for divine comfort for the family, the Eggon Nation, Nasarawa State, and the nation at large.
The Governor of Nasarawa State, Engr. Abdullahi Sule, in a tribute described the late Ewuga as an astute administrator, a statesman of remarkable standing, and a courageous leader who served Nigeria with commitment, humility, and courage.
The National Chairman, All Progressives’ Congress (APC) Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda described Senator Ewuga as a bridge builder who used his influence and intellect to promote unity and progress across the nation.
Sen. Joshua Dariye, while extolling the legacies Sen. Ewuga left behind, called on citizens in the Middle Belt to come together in unity and fight for a common cause for the good of all.
Dignitaries from all walks of life attended the funeral and paid glowing tributes to the late Sen. Solomon Aku Ewuga.
