Real Madrid defeated Borussia Dortmund 2-0 to lift this season’s Champions League trophy at the Wembley Stadium on Saturday evening.
Dortmund started the brighter of the two sides but were unable to put away the chances they created in the first half.
The Bundesliga side also began the second half like they ended the first but it was the Los Blancos who got the opening goal in the 74th minute through Davi Carvajal.
It then went from bad to worse for Dortmund in the 83rd minute when Ian Maatsen’s error was punished by Vinicius Junior, who made it 2-0 to the La Liga team.
The win means Real Madrid have now won their fifteenth Champions League title, while Dortmund still await their second trophy.
